Server Difficulties…

Well, my server has locked up a couple of more times in the last 24 hours. I’m perusing the FreeBSD-current mailing list to see what the difficulty is and hopefully will discover a remedy. Until then, your patience is appreciated. Thanks.

Addendum: It’s alive!

Well, here’s the long and the short of it. The short: don’t use FreeBSD-current on systems when you care about their stability. I’ve used it without problems for months, but recently did a cvsup of the system and recompiled the kernel, and uncovered a serious bit of instability which caused my machine to periodically lock up. I’ve now retrofitted my system to running 4.10-STABLE, and I hope I shall have no further problems.

The End of an Incredibles Journey

Well, yesterday was a momentous day for me. I had rendered the very last shot in The Incredibles, and it was approved in a final review. The Incredibles is now mostly in the can: only things like credits remain, so I’m free to move on to my next project, which as yet remains undefined. I’d like to thank all the people I’ve worked with on The Incredibles, I won’t embarrass them by putting their names here, but you know who you are. You really are one of the greatest groups I’ve ever worked with. Thanks for all your humor and enthusiasm.

For the rest of you, I hope that you enjoy the movie in the fall.
