QRPP backissues available on the Internet…

March 19, 2012 | Amateur Radio | By: Mark VandeWettering

This morning, while listening to the latest SolderSmoke podcast, Bill mentioned that back issues of the Norcal journal “QRPP” were available for free download. Indeed, Chuck Adams has placed them here. I’m currently downloading them for myself, my brief scan indicates all sorts of good information, well worth adding to any archive that you keep. I know I’ll be putting them on my new iPad soon.

Thanks! And if you use FireFox, the DownloadThemAll extension makes downloading easy.

Err..scratch that. It seems to be some Microsoft labyrinth of doom.

Yeah, I’m faintly annoyed at the web page which is carefully designed to make direct linking and downloading difficult. Normally, I’ll use wget or curl to batch download stuff like this, but it seems to take longer to figure out how to circumvent the silliness than to just click the links. C’est la vie.

Thanks for sharing this tip to the archive. Fun reading to come! Regarding keeping them on your iPad… When my 16GB iPad got full, I started offloading non-app materials onto a SD card for my AirStash. Now I have a 32GB SD card with a large collection of Ham Radio files in PDF format (ARRL Handbook, equipment manuals, magazines, & ebooks). Even long flights are short when busy reading back issues of QST, 73 magazine, and other ham goodies. Movies & music are on other cards. Content is Plug & Play across all of my IOS devices (iPad, iPhone, & iPod Touch). Off to download QRPP and start reading!
